Overview

To provide recruiting assistance to the HR Team by focusing on candidate outreach, interviewing, and sourcing.

Responsibilities

The following is a list of essential functions, which may be subject to change at any time and without advance notice. Management may assign new duties, reassign existing duties, or eliminate a function.

  • Ensure that high quality employment procedures are in place and are in compliance with legislative and Bank policy governing recruitment and selection; Use contemporary recruitment methods to attract top quality candidates appropriate to the position and Bank needs.
  • Use traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates such as career fairs, online job fairs, community networking events, etc.; Manage relationships with external job sites; Coordinate outreach efforts in conjunction with the Bank’s Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Coordinate internal job postings on the Bank’s intranet; Manage the internal transfer process.
  • Screen resumes, interview potential candidates, administer appropriate assessments/screenings, and make recommendations for hire (or not hire).
  • Work with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations including Affirmative Action Plan compliance.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to schedule additional interviews and respond to applicants as appropriate.
  • Assist with tracking spreadsheets for recruiting.
  • Maintain logs for recruitment and position tracking, and provide updates on a weekly basis
  • Assist with annual job description revisions and updates.
  • Assist HR Business Partner with scheduling for interviews
  • Assist in preparation of correspondence for applicant responses, HR memos, etc.
  • Complete other tasks and projects as assigned.

Compliance

  • Comply with all applicable regulations and Bank policies regarding employment and employment law.
  • Participate in annual compliance and other job-related training.
  • Comply with applicable bank regulations, Bank policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Bank’s internal privacy and ethics standards.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Currently enrolled in HR or Business related degree (including but not limited to Marketing, Business Administration, Sales) program preferred
  • Previous work experience preferred

Skills and Competencies

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to remain objective.
  • Proficiency in all programs in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
