  • Overview

    The Senior Credit Analyst will provide exceptional credit support to the Credit Manager, Commercial Lending team, and Chief Credit Officer by preparing analyses and assistance in preparation of credit memo presentations.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    • Work with CCO to ensure consistent and accurate credit analysis and loan presentations.
    • Prepare analyses of complex loan requests, reviews and renewals.
    • Work with lenders to provide timely response and turnaround by monitoring and prioritizing pipeline.
    • Work with lenders and CCO to ensure the appropriate level of regular analysis for all credits.
    • Develop, train, coach, and review work of Junior Analyst to ensure timely and accurate credit analysis.
    • Work with Lenders on new and troubled relationships in understanding the cash flow, balance sheet qualities and overall strength and weaknesses of the transactions.
    • Make collateral valuation recommendations and loan structure recommendations
    • Develop and maintain “best in class” Credit Administration Policy and Procedure Manuals.
    • Prepare quarterly loan impairment analysis for all Classified Assets in the loan group’s portfolio.
    • Provide support and analysis to the Special Assets Group.

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • BA or BS in Accounting, Finance or related field.
    • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in credit analysis.  

    Skills & Abilities

    • Extensive experience in analyzing complex financial statements and tax returns.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial lending best practices, including loan structure, covenant, and risk mitigants.
    • Extensive knowledge of collateral valuation methods.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Exceptional organization / time management skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook and PowerPoint).
    • Management and delegation skills.
