  • Overview

    Plan, develop, design, implement, coordinate and conduct employee training programs to train both new and existing employees how to perform required work, improve work methods, comply with policies, procedures and/or regulations, as well as support the Bank’s strategic initiatives. Coach new and existing team members on skillsets that will deliver higher customer satisfaction.  Develop, establish and direct sales training strategies with lines of business to ensure the maximum effectiveness of the sales organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Delivers group and individual training covering a range of technical, operations, and sales and service related programs.
    • Assists with research, preparation, and delivery of training programs designed to improve or enhance employee’s skills and competencies.
    • Work collaboratively with Business Units to identify, develop and deliver training solutions and manage execution to ensure efficient achievement of business goals.
    • Effectively manage and complete all aspects of assigned project work from inception to implementation, coordinate and execute project meetings and presentations as necessary, lead and participate in training needs assessment and business process change associated with the project.
    • Conduct needs analysis and design learning objectives, content outline, presentation and training method, appropriate job aides and technology integration. Consult with subject matter experts to ensure relevancy of learning objectives and delivery methodology.
    • Coordinates administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs.
    • Coordinates new employee onboarding process and training.
    • Perform tasks such as scheduling classes, creating communications and marketing plans, supporting on-site offerings, preparing reports, monitoring costs, and entering development-related information into the LMS.
    • Create, monitor, evaluate and measure effectiveness of training and development programs, and utilizes relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods. Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen.
    • Demonstrate time management and organization skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively on multiple projects, anticipate future needs, and work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Organization Psychology, Organization Development, or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent development, training and development, organization development ore related field in a medium/large corporate environments
    • Knowledge of learning theory, instructional design, adult learning principles
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience preparing training and development communications
    • Experience selecting and managing vendor relations
    • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others. Will need flexible communication and work style.
    • Excellent strategic and conceptual thinking skills
    • Strong communication, influencing, and consulting skills with the ability to organize and express ideas clearly, position thoughts and perspectives effectively, and influence for support of shared projects and outcomes

    Skills and Competencies

    • 2+ years in Banking or related field strongly preferred
    • Experience working in a learning management system preferred
    • Proficient with Windows technology and Microsoft Office application
    • Previous experience in improving the competency level via training of all customer facing roles in Sales and Service Markets
    • Proficient in Banking core systems
    • Strong knowledge of banking products and services
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to adapt training to different learning styles
